I'm a non-traditional student at Ohio State University where I'm studying for my Bachelor's degree in English. I'm planning to go to grad school next year and hopefully end up teaching Charlotte Bronte and Harper Lee to a bunch of kids who probably don't really care about what I'm saying; I don't think I'll care as long as they pay enough attention that they don't all fail. I've become a bit jaded about the determination to succeed in the average American college student of late, I think...
[Edit]
Okay, it was well past time to update my information here. I graduated with honors (go me!!), got my degree, and now I'm trudging off into the big scary world, my tattered (and virtually useless) sheepskin in hand, hoping to live my own version of the American Dream. I'm currently locked in a debate with myself about going to grad school (fun PhD work, but chances of getting hired after graduation slim) or law school (professional shark, despised by the masses until they're needed, and the field is overrun with new lawyers). *sigh* If only I was good at math and science and stuff...
I started this journal after repeated requests from my friends Amy and JT, so you have them to thank for whatever drivel I dish out for your reading and critiquing pleasure. :)
